Missions

Colonial Heights Baptist is committed to sharing the love of Christ locally, nationally, and around the world. We partner with the International Mission Board (IMB) to support global missionaries serving among unreached people groups, and with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) as they plant churches, revitalize congregations, respond to disasters, and equip believers across our continent. Our church also provides a Mission House to offer furloughed missionaries a place of rest and encouragement during their time stateside. In addition, our Carpenters Hands ministry meets practical needs within our community through hands-on service and home repair projects. Together, these partnerships allow us to live out the Great Commission in meaningful and intentional ways.

The Armstrong Family

We are Cameron, Jessica, Sara, and Noah Armstrong, serving in Manila, Philippines. We’ve served as Southern Baptist International Mission Board missionaries since 2012. Cameron works with several seminaries as a teacher and administrator. Jessica is a math teacher at Faith Academy, an international Christian school in Manila where the kids also attend. We are also planting a church near our home called One Story Fellowship. Please pray for us as we serve the Lord.

The Valenzuela Family

We are the Valenzuela family from Southern California.  In response to God’s calling, we moved to Madrid with a vision to plant a church in the heart of the city—one devoted to teaching the Bible, making disciples, and multiplying churches. We relocated to Spain in January 2015, stepping into what has become a life-shaping journey of faith and service.

Esteban is originally from Southern California, and Tifiny from West Virginia. We were married in 2005 and are blessed with three children who have shared this adventure with us from the beginning—our oldest daughter is 16, our son is 14, and our youngest daughter is 12.

For the past eight years, we have planted and built the church together. Esteban has faithfully taught the Bible verse by verse, discipled believers, and invested in leadership development. Tifiny has led worship, mentored women, and faithfully served in many behind-the-scenes roles, including coordinating weekly church life, scheduling, and hospitality.

Throughout this journey, we have witnessed God transform lives. Many people have come to know Jesus for the first time, others have experienced genuine encounters with Him, and many are now joyfully serving the Lord—some for the very first time in their lives. We have also had the privilege of sending out a couple to plant another church here in Madrid, and we are currently prayerfully discerning the planting of another church in the city.

In 2025, we launched KAIROS PROJEKT, a ministry dedicated to planting churches, training church planters, and creating meaningful spaces for pastors, leaders, and churches to connect and collaborate. Our heart is to see the gospel advance throughout the city of Madrid—home to more than three million people—and to see God raise up a movement of healthy, Christ-centered churches across the region.
